The Little Bone Broth Company is made up of husband and wife team Alex and Catherine Watson.
From hospo and healthcare backgrounds, we care as much about health and wellbeing as we do about great tasting food. The Little Bone Broth Company is the coming together of these two passions.
We reckon bone broth is one of the world’s oldest ‘superfoods’. A source of nourishment and wellbeing for centuries, cultures around the world turn to its restorative properties to this very day; the naturally occurring nutrients in bone broth are said to have many different health benefits. That’s what sparked our interest.
Pure and authentic, our broth is made with 100% natural ingredients (locally sourced where possible) and no added extras. There’s almost more to say about what doesn’t go into it than what does!
True believers in ‘good things take time’, every batch is slowly simmered for up to three days to draw out all the flavour and nutrition, resulting in a tasty, nutrient-rich broth that’s preservative free and low in fat and sodium.
Produced in small batches in our Christchurch kitchen, our broth is now available in supermarkets, but you’ll still also find us where it all began - seeking the seal of approval from those who know real, good food best, the shoppers at our local farmers market.
